Mlinzi is made by MlinziApp Company Ltd, a Nairobi company. The name means "guard" or "keeper" in Kiswahili — which is exactly what the app helps real guards do better.
Why we built it
Estate gates run on trust, but they run on paper. Visitors get waved through on a phone call nobody logged. Registers get filled in after the fact, if at all. And when a resident needs help, the fastest option is often a WhatsApp group nobody is watching.
Mlinzi replaces that with a simple loop: residents name their visitors, guards verify them, and the resident knows by SMS the moment someone enters their gate. The same app carries a preset distress message and a direct line to the guard post. Strong, connected, covered — that's the standard we hold every feature to.
