What you give us
Your name, phone, house number, plate and guard number. Visitors: what your host entered, plus entry times.
Who sees it
Your estate's guards and administrator, and Mlinzi staff who keep the service running. Nobody else. We don't sell data.
Your control
Ask for a copy, a correction, or deletion at any time through the deletion page. We respond within 30 days.
The law
Kenya's Data Protection Act, 2019. You can also complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner.
Your obligations as a resident
When you enter a visitor's details, you become responsible for telling them. A simple line works: "I've put your name and plate in our gate system so you're expected." Visitors can remove their data themselves — they don't need your permission.
Estates: your register, your responsibility
Your estate is the data controller for its register; Mlinzi is the processor. That means the estate decides who can search it and must respond to resident data requests, with our help. ODPC registration: [registration number if registered, to be confirmed].
