Features

Everything Mlinzi does, in plain language

Eight features. Each one answers a real problem at the gate or in an emergency.

One-time resident registration

Each resident registers once under their estate's guard number. After that, the household is live in the system.

A resident downloads Mlinzi, enters the guard number issued by their estate or property manager, and completes a one-time profile: name, phone, house number and vehicle registration. The estate keeps a single, searchable register instead of paper files at the gate.

Visitor and taxi pre-registration

Add a guest or a taxi before they leave home. The guard sees a verified name, plate and expected time at the gate.

Residents add a visitor's name, phone number and vehicle plate, or a taxi's plate and operator. The entry appears on the guard's screen for the expected date, so guests are waved through after a quick check instead of a phone call to the house.

SMS alerts when a guest arrives

The moment a guard verifies your visitor, you get an SMS saying who has entered. No data bundle needed.

When a guard marks a pre-registered visitor as arrived, Mlinzi sends the resident an SMS with the visitor's name and time of entry. It works on any phone line, including feature phones, so the alert reaches residents even without mobile data.

Preset distress SMS

One tap sends a preset distress message to your chosen contacts and the estate guard line.

Residents save up to three trusted contacts plus the guard line. Tapping the distress button sends a preset SMS with the resident's name and house number, so help can be dispatched even when the resident cannot speak. Mlinzi complements emergency services; in a life-threatening emergency call 999 or 112.

Direct call to the guard

Call your estate's guard post from inside the app. No searching for numbers or old WhatsApp groups.

The app dials the official guard line registered for the resident's estate. Residents reach the gate in one tap to confirm a visitor, report a concern or ask for an escort, without keeping personal guard phone numbers.

Repeat visitors in one tap

Reuse a past visitor and set a new visit date instead of typing their details again.

Fundis, cleaners, relatives and regular taxis stay in the resident's visitor history. To invite them again, the resident picks the name and sets a new date. The guard sees it as a fresh expected visit, and the record stays tidy.

First-aid tips built in

Clear first-aid guidance inside the app for the moments before help arrives.

Mlinzi includes concise first-aid steps for common incidents at home and on the road, written to be readable under stress. It is guidance, not medical advice, and the app always points users to call for professional help first.
